Terms 

Many of the activities and experiences available require a minimum fitness level and certain activity based competencies (such as being able to ride a bicycle, swim, jump etc.) to participate. The customer must declare any issues, concerns and/or any relevant medical issues to Venture Outdoors Cornwall ltd. at the time of booking so this can be checked with the activity provider prior to accepting the booking. Failure to do so may result in the activity provider refusing to allow participation without refund.

Our activity providers  or hire suppliers have a range of minimum ages. The customer must provide all children’s ages prior to making a booking so we can be sure if they can participate in the activity. Failure to do so may result in disappointment without refund.

Booking and Refund Policy:

We suggest that our customers obtain travel insurance prior to their arrival to cover any unexpected reasons for cancelling your booking. 

Many of the outdoor activities and lessons available are subject to last minute changes due to weather and forecasts. Our suppliers will contact you directly to inform you if your activity has been cancelled and will offer either an alternative date or a refund which is at their discretion. Should you be offered a refund and decide to take it please email us confirming your wishes. 

Should you wish to amend or cancel an activity booked, we require a minimum of 72 hours notice so we can inform our suppliers, allowing them time to make alternative arrangements. No refunds shall be given for cancellations made within less than 72 hours from your scheduled booking. 

If you do not show up for an activity or booking this will be at the fault of the customer and will not be refunded. 

We or our suppliers may photograph the activity, these photographs may be used for promotional purposes. Should you not wish for photos to be taken during your booking you must inform a member of staff prior to undertaking the activity. 

Hire Equipment:

When hiring equipment, some suppliers may require a deposit, driving licence, contact information and completion of a liability waiver upon collection. This will be taken by the supplier directly by the hire supplier and will be returned to you when you return the equipment undamaged.

All hire equipment needs to be treated with respect and carried correctly at all times. If you need any advice on how to do this you must ask at the point of collection. If you refuse to undertake instruction deemed necessary by the service provider, the hire supplier may refuse to provide the equipment, or request its immediate return and no refund will be provided. 

If you are going to be late returning your hire, please call the hire supplier and make the necessary arrangements directly. The service provider will endeavour to accommodate such requests but where this is not possible the applicant must comply with the original agreement. The customer is responsible for any and all equipment hired or borrowed. If any hire equipment returned is damaged, lost or stolen, the customer maintains responsibility. The hire supplier will be in direct contact to discuss any necessary fees for required repairs or replacements.

Online Gift Store

Cancellations of orders must be made within 24 hours or your order being placed. As many of our products are printed individually refunds are only considered if the product is defective, damaged, incorrectly printed.

International Product Orders:

Due to the nature of our online store, many orders may be placed by customers living abroad. Upon check out you will be asked to supply information regarding your shipping address. Should your address be outside of the UK the shipping cost may vary. We reserve the right to contact you to process any additional shipping fees required. You do have the option to retract your order if these are considered excessive at that time. If additional shipping fees are not agreed, Venture ltd. Outdoors Cornwall ltd. reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any payments already made. The time frame for products to be shipped and arrive will vary depending on your location. We may collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address when you make a purchase or contact us. This information will be stored on our customer management system and stored on our cloud storage provided by Google and will be remain active unless you request to be removed. Google Cloud Services (Google Drive) has been selected as it is one of the most secure services available. Payment Information

When you make a purchase, we collect transaction specific information in order to process the payment. This may include credit card details or other payment methods if BACS is not preferred by the user. All payment information is destroyed once any particular payment has been completed. 

Usage Data

Our Website host will collect limited information concerning your interaction with our website to provide us with the required statistics to improve future services. For Web Services we have selected Ionis and their full terms and conditions, including data collection and privacy policies, can be found by following the links provided at Annex 1.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Data storage      

We use Google to store and maintain all Outdoor Venture Cornwall data. Google Drive is considered one of the most secure cloud storage services. It uses AES 256-bit encryption to protect data stored on its servers and TLS/SSL protocols for data transfers.
